Jennifer Turner was born to Celester Mae Brown and Ellis Turner, Sr. on June 23, 1955, in Greenwood Mississippi. She was the fifth oldest of eight children. After moving to St. Louis, she began her education with the Saint Louis Public Schools, later graduating from Beaumont High school, home of the Blue Jackets.
At an early age Jennifer accepted Christ as personal Lord and Savior. The biggest highlight of Jennifer's life was being the mother of her three wonderful children. Jennifer was vibrant and full of enthusiasm. She had a passion for cooking, dining, thrift shopping at Goodwill, and frequently visiting Soulard Market, where she was a regular patron. She deeply loved and cherished all her family members.
Jennifer established connections with her extended family at “Jake's Copacabana,” where she dedicated 25 years of service to the community. During her tenure at Jake’s, she earned the affectionate nickname “Fat Baby.” Jennifer was highly regarded by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She celebrated her birthday every year with grand celebrations, attracting people from various places to honor “Fat Baby.” She enjoyed dancing and listening to Bobby “Blue” Bland. Jennifer possessed an exceedingly generous heart. She always went out of her way to assist others, regardless of how big or small the need. Despite facing health challenges, she remained unchanged, continuing to be the same remarkable Jennifer “Fat Baby” Turner.
